Day 1 August 26:
Transfer from Karakol to Echkili Tash Valley (5-6 hours’ drive). Check in at the military base (border permits will be prepared in advance). Overnight near the river near the base. The road to Echkili Tash valley goes along the beautiful Tien Shan mountain range; you will see high mountains, forests and perfect views of the valleys you will cross. After 2-3 hours’ drive you will make a stop at the top of Chon Ashuu Pass (3822 meters altitude).
Overnight stay and dinner in tent.

Day 2 August 27:
After breakfast walk up to By Tyz valley to the middle of the gorge, comfortable place to get acclimatized before going up to 4000 meters altitude. This valley is a typical summer pasture with almost no trees but covered with grass. Dinner and overnight in the tent, walking 4-5 hours.

Day 3 August 28:
Trek to the bottom of Tyz Pass, continue your journey through Tyz Gorge, make towards along the river to the skirt of the pass. Overnight stay and dinner in the tent, walking 3-4 hours.

Day 4 August 29:
The most difficult and breathtaking day: crossing the Tyz Pass (4001 meters altitude). From the top of the pass you will see unforgettable scenery of one of the largest glaciers in Central Asia – Enilchek, and Peak Nansena (6600 meters above sea level) in front of you. Descent to the edge of the pass, camping in front of Nansena peak, be prepared to see afternoon avalanches from this peak (not dangerous for trekkers). Dinner and overnight in the tent, walking 8-10 hours.

Day 5 August 30:
Another day of adventure: crossing the Enilchek glacier. The tongue of the glacier ends with a strong stream that comes over from melting ice and snow, the water in this stream is very cold.
You will not use any special equipment while crossing the glacier; in this area the trails are passable.

Day 6 August 31:
Early morning crossing At-Jailoo river, the stream are very strong during day and its better to cross in the morning before glaciers still not melted during the night. Walk down to the base camp – At Jailoo, transfer to Karakol, on the way check out from Maida Adyr Military Base. Walking distance: 3-4 hours, 4-5 hours driving to Karakol.
