About CBT Kara-Alma
The Kara-Alminsky ayil okrug is part of the Suzak district of the Jalal-Abad oblast with the settlements of Kara-Alma, Ortok and Urumbash and is located in the Ferghana Valley along the Ferghana Range on the southwestern side at an altitude of 1380-3705 m above sea level. On the territory of the district there are Kara-Alminskoye (30871 hectares) and Urumbashsky (10 657 hectares) forestry enterprises. Most of the leshozes are occupied by nut and fruit forests. Walnut forests here are one of the most dense forests in Kyrgyzstan. In addition to nuts, trees such as apple trees, cherry trees, barberries, rose hips, hawthorn and many others grow in the forest. There are several recreation centers and a children’s recreation camp in the area. It is located 65 km from the city of Jalal-Abad, 1.5 hours drive, many citizens come for a day, especially on hot summer days. It has excellent potential for the development of adventure tourism, as it has unique walnut forests on its territory and is conveniently located near the new strategic route Osh-Bishkek, 1.5 hours drive from Jalal-Abad and 2.5 hours drive from Kazarman. The presence of natural attractions and excellent transport accessibility is interesting for lovers of eco and adventure tourism.
