About CBT Kara-Suu
CBT Kara-Suu
Kara-Suu village is located 600 km from Bishkek in the upper reaches of Kara-Suu river at an altitude of 1300 m above sea level. The village is located 70 km from Kerben and 210 km from Jalalabat. The peculiarity of the area is the richness and diversity of flora and fauna. The Kara-Suu river flows from the southern side of At-Oinok mountain range and falls into the Naryn river near Tash-Komur town. You can reach the village by cab or by bus (with transfers).
You can find flora and fauna of many species here, as the village is part of the buffer zone of the Sary-Chelek reserve. The reserve and adjacent areas include river valleys, settlements along the banks of rivers flowing almost all through the reserve in places between steep banks with numerous boulders forming rushing cascades and waterfalls up to three meters high. Glaciers, fields of eternal snow and high-mountain lakes are found on the northern slopes of the mountains.
All this can be seen on the way to the coast of the stunning Lake Sary-Chelek. It is located right at the foot of Chatkal ridge. The beauty of this lake is comparable to the world’s best landscapes; its waters shine with greenish-blue hues and look great in photographs.
