The Kyrgyz Community Based Tourism Association (KCBTA) “Hospitality Kyrgyzstan”, together with the Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions (FSDS) Public Foundation, from 1st of September 2019 till 31st of December 2021, is implementing the project “Strengthening rural tourism in the Jalal-Abad region to create income sources”, with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) Gmbh (German Society for International Cooperation), a project co-financed by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as part of the GIZ program “Integrated Development of Regions”. The overall objective of the project is to increase profitable, competitive and ecological rural tourism in Jalal-Abad by: 1) improving and diversifying tourism products of existing local CBT groups in Sary-Chelek, Arstanbap, Jalal-Abad and Kazarman. 2) the creation of new local tourism communities in Toktogul, Kara-Alma and Padysha-Ata.
