The Kyrgyz Community Based Tourism Association (KCBTA) “Hospitality Kyrgyzstan”, together with HELVETAS Intercooperation GGMBH, the European Center for Ecological and Agricultural Tourism «Stichting – Netherlands» (ECEAT), and the Kyrgyz Association of Tour Operators (KATO) implements the Greentour Project since May 2020. The overall objective is to boost the transformation of Kyrgyzstan towards a green economy by enhancing the sustainability and competitiveness of tourism as a key sector. Specific objective is to ensure that Kyrgyz tourism is more sustainable having adopted and replicated proven SCP practices, developed greener products, integrated MSMEs, and has obtained competitive advantages within the global tourism market.
